Glam Grunge

New years Eve is the time for breathtaking gowns, full length dresses, glitter, sparkles, sequins and did I already mention glitter? Me and Alison from Tea Cats and Glitter have teamed up to reinvent our new years looks. This year we won´t run into the next department store and get a stunning but - let´s admit it – slightly cliché evening dress; because it´s what you expect, right? Both of us are 90s enthusiasts ,which in Alison's case often results in slightly ravey outfits featuring everything from Alien backpacks to Poodle sneakers, but this time we went for a different 90s movement; commonly known as Grunge. Moreover we came up with our own little thing and decided to call it glam grunge. For me; Glam Grunge combines the girly but awkward shapes of the riot grrl grunge style with glitter and gold and all things glam. I combined a slightly old-fashioned vintage skirt with a ragged vintage style denim jacket. The jacket is a cute little treasure for me as it looks like somebody has reworked it and it gives the outfit a grungey touch. In good old riot grrl tradition I left my hole inspired haircut messy and natural. So what you reckon? Is Glam Grunge going to be the new thing after health goth? ;)

WHAT AM I WEARING?!
